교회소개

소금언약공동체는 예수의 피로 형제 자매되어 한 식구된 지체들이, 오직 성경으로만 말씀하여 주신 영원불변의 소금언약을 붙들고, 실제 삶에서 일하시는 그 약속의 하나님을, 함께 경험하고 함께 증거하기 위해 모인 예배공동체(Worship Community)이자, 선교공동체(Missional Community)입니다.

소금언약공동체는 다음과 같이 열방 가운데 살아내고자 기도합니다.

하나, 소금과 같이 성결과 거룩한 공동체로 살아내고자 기도합니다.

“...네 모든 소제물에 소금을 치라...너는 네 모든 곡식 제물에 소금을 넣어라...” (레위기 2:11-16)

하나님께 드릴 제물과 곡식에 소금을 치게 함으로 성결케 하고 거룩하게 하였듯이, 세상 가운데 깨끗함과 거룩함으로 살아내기 위해서 기도하길 원합니다.

둘, 소금과 같이 고르고 알맞은 맛을 내는 공동체로 살고자 기도합니다.

 “너희 말을 항상 은혜 가운데서 소금으로 고르게 함 같이 하라”(골로새서 4:6)

 “너희는 세상의 소금이니 소금이 만일 그 맛을 잃으면 무엇으로 짜게 하리요  후에는 아무 쓸데 없어 다만 밖에 버리워 사람들에게 밟힐 뿐이니라”(마태복음 5:13)

세상에 소금과 빛과 같이 없어서는 안될, 덕이 되고 유익이 되어, 그 고유의  맛을 내는 그런 한 사람의 온전한 그리스도인으로 살아드리기를 기도합니다. 

셋, 소금과 같이 부패하거나 변치 않는 하나님의 언약 공동체로 살고자 기도합니다.

“이는 여호와 앞에 너와 네 후손에 변하지 않는 소금언약이니라” (민수기 18:19)

“여호와께서 소금언약으로  이스라엘 나라를 영원히 다윗과 그 자손에게 주실 것이다” (역대하 13:5)

소금은 썩음을 방지하고 신선함을 오래도록 유지하도록 하는 역할을 합니다. 그런 의미에서 소금언약은 부패하거나 침식되지 않는 영원불편한 언약입니다. 

그 하나님의 소금언약이 우리 삶을 해석해 내도록, 모인 공동체가 오늘도 열방 가운데 주신 부르심과 사명에 순종하고 청종하는 삶으로, 그 한 사람의 예배자를 세우는 일을 위해, 온 민족과 열방과 백성과 방백들 가운데 선포되는 Missional 공동체로

주님 다시 오시는 그 순간까지 함께 지어져 가길 간절히 소원합니다. "Maranatha~!"

Salt Covenant Community is a worship community and a missional community where brothers and sisters, united by the blood of Jesus, gather together. We hold fast to the eternal, unchanging Salt Covenant given to us through Scripture, and we seek to experience and testify to the God of promises who works in our daily lives.

Salt Covenant Community prays to live out the following before the nations:

First, we pray to live as a community of purity and holiness, like salt. “...Season all your grain offerings with salt... Add salt to all your offerings.” (Leviticus 2:11-16) Just as salt was used to purify and sanctify the offerings and grain given to God, we desire to live in purity and holiness in the world and pray for such a life.

Second, we pray to live as a community that brings a balanced and appropriate flavor, like salt. “Let your speech always be gracious, seasoned with salt...” (Colossians 4:6) “You are the salt of the earth. But if the salt loses its saltiness, how can it be made salty again? It is no longer good for anything, except to be thrown out and trampled underfoot.” (Matthew 5:13) We pray to live as indispensable salt and light in the world, full of virtue and benefit, embodying the unique flavor of a complete Christian.

Third, we pray to live as a covenant community, unchanging and incorruptible, like salt. “It is an everlasting covenant of salt before the LORD for both you and your offspring.” (Numbers 18:19) “Do you not know that the LORD, the God of Israel, has given the kingship of Israel to David and his descendants forever by a covenant of salt?” (2 Chronicles 13:5) Salt prevents decay and preserves freshness. In this sense, the Salt Covenant represents an eternal, uncorrupted, and unchanging promise.

We pray that this Salt Covenant of God would define our lives, and as a gathered community, we seek to obey and fulfill the calling and mission given to us among the nations. We long to build up worshipers and proclaim the Salt Covenant among all peoples, nations, and rulers, continuing to build up the Missional Community until the day the Lord returns. "Maranatha~!"
